3d Modelling (HND IM and Vis Com)

The second week of the 3d classes are now over.

Last year the 3d class was spread over two blocks and as such I felt the students didn’t take it as seriously as they should have, so this year I asked that I could deliver it over a single 18 week block.

As a result, the students are focused on the task at hand and realise it’s going to push them this Semester. Over the last 2 weeks we have covered primative and polygonal modelling, we then looked as editable polygons and touched on materials and textures.

Having a more full on approach to this subject is certainly helping… hopefully we’ll get some good end results. check back here  around New Year to see the fruits of their labour.

As mentioned last week, I have a few spaces in the Wednesday morning class (9-12:15) and the afternoon class (1:15-4:30) which the BSc students are more than welcome to join… I feel this would be a good refresher for the Intermediate 3d class they have in Semester 2.
